A HUMANIST POSITION ON STEM CELL RESEARCH
With an estimated one in three Americans suffering chronic disease or disability, research to bring hope to suffering millions is a high priority, as well as the ethical and moral position for Humanists. We believe that every family deserves access to the best medical treatments available, and such treatments (and the research leading to it), should be determined by the most promising science. We believe that human stem cell research shows great promise and deserves investigation in all its various forms, which include adult, embryonic, nuclear transfer, induced pluripotentiary and other methodologies not yet discovered.
